At the beginning of 2010, we announced the release of a new wireless security solution to extend the functionality of Astaro Security Gateway installations. Since this time, our access points have generated a high level of interest as many of you, our partners, have recognized how many doors this device will open regarding new customer projects. The beta phase, now in its final stage, has generated a great deal of productive feedback which has allowed us to fine tune the solution in operational mode with your practical requirements in mind - making it as simple to use as all Astaro products. The general date of availability is almost upon us and we are now starting to take orders.

What Does Astaro Wireless Security Consist Of?
Astaro Wireless Security is a new approach that dramatically simplifies the operation of secure and reliable wireless networks. It consists of Astaro Security Gateway's built-in wireless controller working together with our cost-effective access points AP 10 and AP 30.
In order to operate the Astaro access points, you will need a valid Astaro Security Gateway license with an active Wireless Security subscription, which is available for 1, 3, and 5 years.
For pricing information and product codes for the Wireless Security subscription and the Access Point devices, please download the particular pricelist from MyAstaro. An updated global Astaro pricelist will be available shortly.
Both for the Wireless Security subscription and the access points the usual discounts apply for software and hardware, respectively.
You may place orders with your distributor starting today. The first shipment of access point devices will arrive by mid September 2010 and we will deliver those orders first - while stocks last. We are aware of some very urgent customer projects, and these orders will be given priority.
