Avira makes distributions agreement with Liga - Antivirus l Linux & Windows

German IT security experts concludes distribution agreement with Liga LinDist

Avira focuses on its course of expansion and intensifies its dedication in Europe. The producer of the virus protection product line Avira AntiVir has got on board Liga LinDist to open up the Nordic business customer market. The reseller distributes the anti-malware solution for businesses and public institutions exclusively in the Nordic region

Liga has maintained its growth for the last ten years on the Danish market and has established its reputation in the Linux area. The distributor currently has all relevant VARs of the country under contract. Liga provides the perfect mix for resellers since it has extended its portfolio with the virus protection of Avira and it has the intention to enter the market with best-of-breed producers. “Avira has over twenty years of experience and counts to the pioneers in this sector, especially in Linux. Independent tests confirm time and again the quality of its solutions – this provides confidence and a guaranteed future”, explains Bjarke Alling, CEO at Liga. “The determining factor for us to go for Avira was that the solutions all operate on different platforms. We are specialized in the Linux environment, but very often have customers with a heterogeneous infrastructure. Here we can perfectly implement Avira and the user remains flexible even after installation. Even if he changes the operating system he can still keep its proven virus protection of Avira.”

Besides programs for single-users, the manufacturer also provides professional solutions for cross-system protection with networks on different levels. Here we include products for workstations, file server, mail server and Web server. Gateway computers as well as desktop PCs can be administered from a central point through a central management console. Administration products, security programs for mobile devices as well as pocket PCs under Windows Mobile and smartphones under Symbian top off the portfolio of Avira.
