Novell ”saves" new IT system for patient security:
With Novell ZENworks, Region Nordjylland has solved the conflict between the soon outdated IE6 and the new IT system for reporting errors and shortages in patient treatment. A conflict which was threatening to delay the full implementation of the system with up to two years.
Region Nordjylland has solved the problem on their own by implementing Novell Zenworks Application Virtualization, delivered by KMD. Through virtualization of applications, the hospitals avoid compatibility conflicts between the old and the new program versions, which can then operate side by side.
"ZENworks is clever for this purpose. It has a very small footprint. So it's quick and easy to deploy into our infrastructure and doesn't require any servers. Just a tiny piece of software, and then we have to count the number of users due to licensing."
