Novell is pleased to announce the availability of GroupWise Messenger 2.1 to all customers worldwide. GroupWise Messenger is available to all GroupWise and Novell Open Workgroup Suite (NOWS) customers current on maintenance or with an active subscription.

This new version of GroupWise Messenger (GWIM) provides integrations for the new Novell Conferencing. In the same way a user can start an instant message, licensed conferencing users will be able to start instant meetings directly from the GroupWise Messenger client. The recipient does not need a Novell Conferencing subscription or license to join the instant meeting. With this integration, users will be able to easily transition an instant message to an instant meeting using only the GWIM client and standard browser.

Licensing
GroupWise Messenger is licensed on a user basis and is free to GroupWise and NOWS customers.  For more information please refer to the product EULA.
