ZENworks 11 SP1
Novell is pleased to announce the availability of ZENworks 11 Support Pack 1 (SP1).  This includes new releases of ZENworks Configuration Management, ZENworks Patch Management, ZENworks Asset Management and ZENworks Endpoint Security Management.

Key features of this release include:

• Support and requirements to use the latest generally supported database platforms from Microsoft, Sybase and Oracle like MS-SQL 2008 R2, Oracle 11g and Sybase ASA12 - the database migration tool shipping with ZENworks 11 SP1 can now migrate data from Sybase to MS-SQL databases
• Updated platform support for the management server and client to support SLES 10 SP4, RedHat Enterprise Linux 6, and Windows 2008R2 SP1 along with additional support for Windows 7 SP1 as a client platform
• Simplify and streamline distribution of software from network shares by allowing you to leverage native protocols such as CIFS and NCP when deploying software as a Dynamic Administrator User
• Enforce custom security integrity through the use of scripting policies in ZENworks Endpoint Security Management (ZENworks Endpoint Security Management scripting policies allow you to create secure scripts to enforce the security posture of the machine)
• ZENworks Patch Management now includes the ability to schedule updates reducing network traffic during peak traffic hours, drill down dash board and compliance assessment
• ZENworks Configuration Management 11 SP1 now ships AdminStudio 10 Standard Edition providing enhanced custom deployment package creation and delivery through ZENworks Configuration Management
• Ability to single-step upgrade from your existing ZENworks 10 installations (from 10.2.x, 10.3.x) to ZENworks 11 SP1 directly, thus reducing upgrade overheads

The Novell Endpoint Lifecycle Management Suite is also being updated to include the SP1 releases of the ZENworks 11 products

Licensing

Upgrade Details
Customers with active maintenance on any of the replacement products are entitled to the upgrade of the products for which they have maintenance.

Customers without active maintenance may purchase upgrades to ZENworks 11 SP1.

ZENworks 11 SP1 allows you to upgrade directly from ZENworks 10.3 or higher.  Additionally, ZENworks agents running the ZENworks 10.2.x client can also be updated directly to ZENworks 11 SP1.
