Nuremberg – Held from 7 to 9 October, this year’s it-sa – one of the most important IT security expos in the world – again provided a forum for the latest insights and a showcase for innovative products in the area of IT security. Germany-based certgate GmbH, the expert for security to go, was proud to announce a new sales partnership with Danish IT distributor Liga to provide the Scandinavian market with certgate products and solutions.

With 384 exhibitors from 21 countries, it-sa 2014 clearly shows that IT security is a key issue and that it is here to stay. One thing missing, however, is perhaps a sense of direction. “I believe that delegates and visitors are finding it increasingly difficult to find the right partner amidst this abundance of suppliers and providers,” says Stefan Schmidt-Egermann, Head of Sales & Marketing at certgate GmbH. Together with partners, the specialist for IT security on mobile terminals and devices had a booth in the section reserved for Identity and Access Management. Here, certgate showcased software as well as hardware for user identification, authentication and encryption. certgate now also provides full-service solutions for the Scandinavian market. This broadening of the company’s horizons was sealed in a partnership agreement with Danish IT distributor and value-added reseller Liga, which the leadership of certgate GmbH signed with Liga’s CEO Bjarke Alling at it-sa 2014. “We are delighted to have now also found a reliable partner for the Scandinavian market. Making mobile devices more secure is an issue that transcends geographic boundaries,” adds Schmidt-Egermann.

Data vault for smartphones and tablets – Google follows suit
certgate unveiled cgCard for the Windows Surface Pro 3 tablet, a microSD card-sized data vault that will make the latest Microsoft product “probably the world’s safest tablet PC.” The cgCard, already available to BlackBerry and Android users, not only makes certificate-based applications available, but also protects the user’s identity and virtually bans unsafe passwords from the device! it-sa 2014 has shown that certgate is spot on with its solutions for this market.
